November 10, 2023 - This is absolutely stunning. One of the best burgundies of the year. Light cherry brick with a clear rim. The nose is a monument to burgundy - red and black cherries, dried leaves - sweet, mature and complex. Medium bodied and velvety palate with flavor concentration and a lasting impression. I bit of oak keeps this from a crazy high score. Drinking perfectly right now. (95)

September 3, 2018 - A beautifully textured wine, drinking lovely right from opening. Red and black forest fruit all the way through the palate with an almost iron-like quality in it's earthiness. Sounds big, but it had a light lifted feel on the palate and a delicate nose echoing those flavors. Quite memorable as one of the best Gevrey GC's I've had and strong production in a hidden vintage a friend turned me on to several year's ago.

March 3, 2017 - Unquestionably wine of the week - so much energy and the sweetest and purest of red raspberry and strawberry fruit.
Long in the mouth, but with surreal elegance, this is magnificent, and in prime drinking condition right now.

December 24, 2016 - Wine Lunch Before Christmas (Happ Inn - Northfield IL): Seemed musty/ stewed to start, then completely/ quickly deteriorated in glass. Clearly a flawed bottle, Given that I enjoyed this wine as recently as just 3 years ago.
