June 16, 2012 - Drank over 4 days....kept vacuum-sealed in fridge. Very bright and almost zinfandel-like out of the bottle. Hot. Profile darkened up by day 4 and integrated nicely. Definitely not a dark fruit profile in the traditional sense. Needs a few more years or a lot of air to really come together.

December 3, 2011 - Having previously consumed the highly rated 2007 vintage, I was excited to see how 2006 stacked up. I have to say that it is a pretty solid wine but lacks the concentration of the monster 2007. Wish I had more formal notes, but I would definitely recommend this wine, especially if you can find it for less than the $40 release price. I have a lot more that I will be holding and will try to drink less so I remember more! 90 points
