April 11, 2020 - At $45, this a great value in California Cabernet. Bright ruby. The nose is almost rustic with sweet black cherry fruit, tobacco, coffee and chocolate. High pitched juicy red and black berry fruit in the mouth with some licorice and pepper. There is an energetic mountain character that I like a lot. 3 left.

November 27, 2019 - A delightful napa cab, medium bodies with smooth but big tannins and medium acidity. Still full of black fruit and a little spice. Nice wine 12 years on. Drink or hold, no signs of fading. Improved from September.

September 2, 2019 - Not bad but a little one dimensional. The quality is there but the wine seems to have peaked. Not vibrant or weighty. Complexity does not come with time in the glass. Enough tannins remain for a flank steak but it's not exciting.

January 30, 2018 - This is still tannic and wound up with an acidic finish. The Wine has fruitit is just masked by the tannins

January 7, 2017 - Gorgeous- drink now, it's beautiful. Slightly closed nose in opening, opens over time. Very well integrated fruits and tannins. Plum, grapes, just a tinge of meat in the medium finish. Super mouthfeel.
