June 28, 2010 - Magnum, decanted an hour beforehand. Still with us (just?). Dark ruby color, with currants and tobacco on the nose. Drank very well (and there was lots of it!)

Rett fra flasken overveldende eik. I dag bruker de 1/3 nye fat - her må det vært en helt annen rotasjon. Dekantert og luftet i 3 timer; en helt annen vin. Eiken blåste for det meste av. Søte solbær, modne mørke kirsebær, paprikatoner, treverk og eik. Lang, tanninsk - kunne fint latt ligge 5 år til tror jeg. 80% merlot, 20% cabernet franc, tror jeg. Cabernet franc gir her et veldig oppstrammende bidrag og balanserer merlotpreget fint, synes jeg. Vinen har umiddelbart noe jeg tenker på som et "Fronsac-preg".
