October 11, 2023 - What a pleasant surprise for a 20-yr old Santa Ynez syrah. Pleasant immediately upon opening -- had an "interesting" cardboard and spice-laden nose -- and has maintained its heft through decanting over 2-3 hours. Lots of blackberry, black cherry with the faintest hint of tannin on the finish. Not a blockbuster but a bottle you can easily down in a sitting.

April 17, 2007 - This wine is still dark purple with a slightly muted nose. Decanted for an hour it showed blue and black fruit with a small amount of pepper and a nice streak of minerality on the finish. The fruit had diminished more than I had expected, paired well with pork tenderloin. Good QPR Syrah. Hard to say about drinking window, if you have multiple bottles I would drink one soon.
