September 17, 2010 - The Gouleyant of Georges Vigouroux is mostly produced from the Malbec grapes that grow on the hills of Cahors.

This is a rich red wine with subtle aromas, complex flavors of ripe berries (raspberries and blackcurrant) blended together with tannins. Beautiful body, fleshy and well balanced. This wine will pair best with the regional dishes of Southwestern France such as duck, goose, lamb and local cheeses.

May 20, 2010 - Nice barnyard action on the nose, but not much else after that to excite me.

April 26, 2010 - Serious Barnyard funk going on.. This one tasted a bit thin and I got the chalky dry thing going on as well. Pretty nice however.

February 25, 2010 - Inky purple. Big tasty blue fruit upfront then......nothing. Very little mid palate and no real finish. A little chalky, dry, tannins at the end. Not bad for 10 bucks though.

January 25, 2010 - Yep, that's Cahors. Actually, it's a pretty decent wine, fruity but also properly and pleasantly austere and tannic. Made for the table, and it's hard to fault it for that.
