September 4, 2010 - Earthy, leathery bouquet more common to an Italian red than a Californian. Sublime light tannins with cherry overtones that resolve into a nice peppery finish. Delightful complexity that stands alone or can hold up to garlic.

September 20, 2005 - This is my CA alternative to chianti. It is well balanced with soft tannins and enough structure to take on the traditional Italian meal. Next to the rose, this is my favorite Gargiulo wine - maybe cause the Sangiovese is planted on the Screaming Eagle side of the property:).
