February 24, 2024 - This was decanted at 4:30pm and tasted from 6pm through 10pm. This is a pure Cali version of Côte-Rôtie. 92% Syrah, 8% Viognier, 14.4% ABV, aged in a quarter once used barrels and the rest 2-5 year old barrels. Remarkably youthful with zero bricking and no oxidation at all. Wonderfully fresh, plush and richly fruited. Also, floral, earthy, minerally and meaty. Great balance and bright acidity, this was best in the 1-2 hours after starting to taste it, so a 2 hour decant seems just about right. Red and black ripe fruit galore, but not over-ripe or overdone. So velvety smooth on the palate and very long on the finish. Delicious with grilled steaks.

May 16, 2020 - I was really a bit surprised at the depth, youthfulness and complexity of this. Excellent nose of dark red and black fruit and stony minerals. Seriously enticing and delicious. Palate was still quite primary and has red and black fruit, nice minerality... Openned up nicely in the first hour+ in the decanter layered with earthy elements and good texture. Great with grilled steaks.

February 4, 2020 - Delicious, smooth tannins, lingering finish, mature complexity. If stored well, another year easily. Super easy to drink.
