November 16, 2012 - Deliciously sleek and slippery red Burg with intense cherry fruits cut with flora and spice. It is dense, polished and rich with some nice underlying meat and earth. It has some mineral ad tart red berries adding crunch and freshness to the long finish. In a perfect place right now.

October 13, 2012 - Mouldy cork. Quite a strong note of oak on the nose. Dark and sappy, with lots of black fruit on the nose, as well as a note of tar. On the palate, this is again very dense and sappy on the attack, with a powerful note of black cherry and a decent acidic spine to balance it all out. Tannins are basically gone. A decent, but sadly not exceptional, bottle, though I imagine some air is needed for it to open up. (Five hours later.) Indeed this has significantly opened. A lot more spice notes (almost Vosne-like at this point), though the tar notes have not budged at all. Hints of earthy funk. Plush and rich. Very modern in style, and quite clear that there were no stems involved in the making of this wine.

November 20, 2011 - Good stuff. Angular spine with acidity and red berries. Loam and blood flesh it out. Really liked the spot this was in.

July 30, 2011 - Some animale funk to the aroma along with pine needle sap, musk, red berries, freshly grated ginger and earth. It is plush of texture and in the mouth the fruit has a jube-like sweetness. There’s some Asian spice and liquorice and its bright, youthful and energetic with a tart cherry snap to the finish.
