August 5, 2022 - A delicious, jammy, fruit bomb? A little bit. At 15 years, this Barossa Valley Shiraz is still extremely fruit forward, with tertiary scents and flavors simultaneously in full effect. The nose shows plum, fig, warm leather, brown sugar, and candied chocolate orange.

Palate offers spades of over-extracted black and blue fruits. It’s extremely round, almost flabby. Very little detectable acidity, giving an impression of sweetness. If you like big wines, you’ll love this.

September 3, 2017 - 3 hour decant. A very Torbreck wine. Big, rich, ripe, and for this 07 hot year jammy and slightly over extracted black Western Barossa fruits. Viognier not overly present, however there is a sense of muskiness it provides, underpinning the dense, full bodied palate. Medium finish. Drinking well now.

February 25, 2017 - not as sweet bomb i had few years back but still a strawberry bomb. somehow slight watery on palette so not as rounded as i hoped... still a very good drop

May 27, 2015 - Super bottle. Great nose, although needed coaxing. Huge wine, a touch flabby. Very smooth. Interesting floral aromas and a hint of passion fruit. Quite unique.

October 6, 2013 - A great Aussie Shiraz. Less dense than an Astralis or Run Rig, but preferable to me. Polished of in one sitting.
