October 20, 2017 - Clear, 1cm translucent in tilted glass, dark cherry red, slight tawny hint, legs, 3/3
Herbaceous, crushed leaf, mint, strong blackcurrant fruit 'Ribena' character, violets, rich, complex 6.5/7
Full flavour, full body, mouthful of cassis fruit, dry, soft tannins well balanced. Good structure. fruit at start, then subtle spice (cinnamon, pimento), followed by grapeseed tannins and pepper at tip of tongue. Long warm fiery spirit (14.5%) and spice finish. 8.5 or 9/10 18~18.5/20 = 92/100. At its peak for drinking now.
