July 27, 2022 - Honeysuckle, custard and ripe yellow fruit. Good tension and acidity on the palate with the Charmes richness. Another nice bottle. 92-93

March 12, 2022 - A small glass - very fresh still, extremely pleasant to drink with acidity having mellowed clearly. It was a superb bottle but it didn't have the intensity or complexity for a higher rating.

September 4, 2020 - Rich popcorn, white flowers, superb clarity, woody spice, so resolved with good tension. Amazing details and finesse despite a little more golden than the other 90 Lafon recently. 93-94

September 4, 2020 - Honeysuckle, carmael and ripe yellow fruit. Rich and ripe on the attack but it has built up acidity in the glass to slim up the baby fat. Good complexity. 92-93

January 17, 2020 - From an owc. Took a good one hour to fully blossom. Honeysuckle, herbs, flowers and caramelized yellow fruit on the nose in a pungent way. Palate was dense and complexity with soaring acidity. It gained complexity with aeration. 1990 is a vintage Lafon did exceptionally well in.
