February 29, 2024 - Took a half hour to come around in the decanter after which this was pretty magnificent. Old Syrah notes of earth and grilled meats, still generous in its delivery of fruit. Long. Flows across the palate full of flavor. Balanced. We were left feeling there is still no hurry to drink this. Bought on release.

November 15, 2023 - N Rhone Feast (Noizé): Oh wow. More earthy than the 06, and so much substance. Your heart can really fall into this wine - it's harmonic and just keeps going. A rare emotional experience from a wine - this is fantastic.

September 27, 2023 - From a pristine bottle, took 30mins to open. Most memorable for the smokiness (without the bacon or olive tapenade). Dark and red fruit and initial richness leads to slightly rough tannins. Long and spicy finish. Less acidic than expected - glasses were left after meat course. Good, but lacked a bit more polish and complexity. 94pts

September 24, 2022 - Feral, charred aromatics. There's an understated balance and generosity of fruit with this vintage with length to spare.

September 3, 2021 - 1990 Champagne / Bordeaux / N Rhone (London): Liked this a lot. But was overshadowed by Chave a hermitage 90 however bested a Jaboulet Chapelle 90.
