August 5, 2023 - Very high acid with piquillo and sour cherry, orange peel, spicy, and mushroomy with a robust dose of American oak. Classic, if on the leaner side now, the kind of wine you'd happily drink all evening if not for the additional wines in the flight.

April 21, 2023 - This has a lovely aromatic pure blackcurrant fruited nose, with mint and soil notes. There was a slight musty whiff at the edge avery now and then. Medium bodied on the palate, again that lovely bright, pure dark fruit, touch of tobacco and soil, vibrant acids, just a touch firm on the tail end. Think this was borderline corked but still plenty to enjoy.

April 16, 2023 - One of the most uncanny tasting experiences ever. At first on the palate, lovely old Rioja with brick dust and cherries and in fifteen seconds, on the palate without another sip, overwhelming oxidative notes and just awful.

Seems to be settling in the glass 15 min later. , though definite VA and balsamic on those strawberries. Nice acidity and structure. Has charm.

eta - Did really go anywhere with a lot of time. Most old bones with small hits of interesting. Not bad, but generically old.

February 9, 2023 - Zombie Wines at Terra Rossa (Terra Rossa, Islington): Dark red. On the cool blue spectrum, quite fine and fresh all things considered, with what seemed like a fine suspension in the glass. Mellow.

(La Rioja Alta Rioja Gran Reserva 904) Bricking medium red violet color; maturing, tobacco, cigar box, licorice nose; tasty, maturing, cigar box, tobacco, dried cherry, sandalwood palate with firm, sweet tannins; should go 15+ year; medium-plus finish
