May 7, 2024 - Wasn’t terribly convinced by the Billecart. First impression was a nice sensation of richness on the nose, but then the high dosage hits the palate out of whack. But it was enjoyable for the middle 30 minutes once you ignore the sugar, there’s probably a good amount of PN in it to give some tannins and red fruit character. Dense and long. But then I left a glass to track through dinner and as it warmed it turned more and more oxidative and ended up smelling like sherry.

Noe mer modning på smak.
Ren og presis - utrolig fokusert til å være en 2000.
Konsentrert med flott spenst.
En flott vin som drikker supert, som også kan ligge lenge.
Seiglivede viner gjengen hos Billecart lager.
Lang spenstig finish med strålende bredde.

Lovely brioche flavours with some fruit and flint too.

December 30, 2021 - Golden Apple in colour, brilliant fine bubbles, leads to unctuous rounded fruit and brioche flavours. Absolutely delicious. Last bottle. Holding up really well.

November 11, 2020 - Most typical champagne of the night, a nod to big houses achieving an incredible quality and consistency despite their large volume. A rich champagne with brioche, citrus fruits. Some people guessed it was a Comtes from the bottle shape but this wasn't as lean as the Comtes that I had last month. Some flint on the nose that would have pointed me towards Dom actually but nowhere near as reductive. Very fresh despite being the oldest bottle, drinking well now.
