  May 8, 2021 - Definitely over the hill and speeding into decline. Tawny in color and cloudy. Strong aromas of tomato juice and asparagus. Amazingly, the palate shows sweet fruit, along with typical mature characteristics. Interesting experience.

  April 1, 2018 - End of the night and not a ton of notes but this was good. Needed a decant. Right out of the bottles was a little primary but good red and black berries, some leather and saddle. Enjoyable,

  December 31, 2017 - Decanted for 5 hours. The nose evolved quite nicely in the decanter. Leather, charcoal, dark fruits, saddle and umami. On the palate much of the same - leather and umami. The finish and length just a tad bit clipped and lacking the depth I usually get from a great Barby or Barolo. Still, this was very nice and paired perfectly with pasta.
