February 11, 2022 - Trying to get through my older Germans (I have so many) in anticaption of my move in a month. Popped and poured tonite in Copake solo. Perfect with my salad, low alcohol works for the evening. I've had this wine before and the wine hasn't changed. Floral and citrus aromas. Stony minerality and heavy lime flavors. Medium acidity that faded a bit over the course of finishing the bottle. Still with a solid fruit level. Enjoyable wine showing well after 20 years.

February 10, 2019 - Popped and poured last nite at Copake. Lovely floral aroma. Some lime and stony minerality and slight citrus on the palate, good acidity that faded a bit over the course of finishing the bottle. Still good fruit. Delicious wine that has help up quite nicely.

June 24, 2016 - Ah,were all kabinetten able to age like this one! Just wonderfully floral at first, with an almost unctuous beginning for a kabinett-- lemon, quince, and good acid. The nose was also well integrated and the hint of lime in the acid along with stone mineral scents made this one of the finest. In time, the fruit faded and the wine became a bit acid backed over fruit laden, so do drink up up and don't let it sit open too long. A great vintage.

August 13, 2011 - Incredible that a kabinett would keep its fruit so strongly after 10 years! The style if very different from Egon Mueller, who 2001 has become a bit to acidic. The vintage apparently did that. I normally prefer the Em wines but this bottle shows the wonderful array of restrained cumquat, racy citrus flavors, fine balance and overall fruit -forward style with a nice finish.
