May 11, 2010 - Pale yellow. Tangy, grassy nose much like a Sauvignon Blanc. Citric crispness with a tart finish. My wife and I tried the 2007 Telmo Rodriguez Gabo do Xil Godello a few days ago and are impressed by the grape's range of possibility. The Gabo do Xil seemed much like a rich Pinot Grigio. This could pass for a smooth Sauvignon Blanc. Both are excellent but they are very different. We preferred the Gabo do Xil but could see food matches where this wine would be a better fit.
