January 16, 2012 - Alban Vineyards Tasting 1993-2009 (Buzzini House): Definitly showing some age....still pretty dark and sweet berry, plum fruit...mellow tannin, orange acid...showing some mocha, mentol tobacco, beef broth, olive. Not dead at all....great wine to sip on.

June 15, 2009 - Wineflock - Alban Intro/Retro (Home): Group #5, My #5 - Full red color. Medium/full nose of red cherry and raspberry with a hint of briar sweet. Full tight chewy blueberry/blackberry fruit on the palate with a tough firm frame. Olive on the finish.

November 8, 2005 - I finally got around to having this, a gift from Matt Shields. What a treat! I was amazed, showed fantastic old syrah qualities, a little earth, a little fruit, a little olive, fantastic balance... Reminds me of a bottle of '84 Clape I had recently. I'm not sure how much longer this will hold, but it's great right now. Thanks Matt!
