October 15, 2022 - A brooding wine with smoke, liquorice and wood spice. Potent and bright. Tannic grip and lingering grass jelly finish

March 12, 2021 - One lonely bottle, found in a small retailer last year,
    high fill, good cork,
very secondary aromas smell, meat, forest floor, under brush, just no fruit,
on the palate the same showing, maybe a whiff of red fruit in the background, for me in its very late prime, indicated by some metallic aromas with more and more aeration, harsh a little austere finish,
should have been drunken some time ago, no rating now

March 28, 2020 - High fill, only the bottom of the cork is wet, so far so good, the nose is promisingly open and expressive, strongly reminiscent of a left bank Bordeaux, the palate is disappointingly dominated by tannins and there is little fruit, this bottle was past peak and should have been consumed years ago.

November 4, 2017 - Magnificent! Extremely dark colour. Superb nose, like a grand cru St Estephe. Full-bodied impressive taste and long, still somewhat tannic, finish. Has not said it's last for some years yet!

January 3, 2016 - At age 17 and a half, still black with only little bricking at the edges. Opened and let breathe 15 minutes without decanting. Shy nose, mature and complex. Good attack, strong broad taste (leather, prunes, blackberry), tannic finish, not too dry. Still going strong, will live to be 20 I guess.
