December 24, 2016 - Really, Its Harlan Juice what more can be said. At 20 years its in its prime but drink sooner over later. Robust dark fruit and tobacco, full mouth feel. One of the great vintages of Napa in general.

December 22, 2016 - Very much in the Harland style - very ripe, a lot of volatile acidity, low(wish) acids, thick tannins excellent concentration. The wine has matured into something far more evolved than its earlier profile - in a way that has added more complexity, but the low acid, high volatile city nature of the wine also gave the wine a more advanced personality than three different (old-school) Napa wines from 1991, drunk the previous week. There is a sense of occasion with the wine and it certainly is fine, but in such a different style to more benchmark wines, that I was slightly bewildered. Plummy, dusty, raisiny, oaky - thick tannic structure. 89-90 points. I do not see this improving and it may have been more involving two years ago.

September 2, 2016 - Been in my RTD for awhile...Very much in the same style of culty Cally of the 90s...Not nearly at the end of its life

March 27, 2015 - Soft, delicious black cherry fruit, excellent structure, tobacco, earth, and current flavors, nice finish, was surprised by how good the wine was, much better than the 1995

December 29, 2013 - opened 4 hours prior to drinking and decanted 3 hours prior. at first disappointed but the three hours in the decanter changed everything the wine really blossomed it had some lead pencil characteristics and restrained fruit consumed with domestic rack of lamb & garlic potatoes . glad I opened when I did
The wine looks Brick colored. The legs are Medium. It tastes like and Toast. The body is Medium. The wine has Leathery texture. The wine finishes Short.
