April 11, 2020 - I laid a six hour slo-ox on this and, if I had more, I might double that. Red cherry, dried red cherry, red apple, red apple peel. Just a hint of "aged" flavor. The tannin gives this a weight that is not otherwise there. Does that make sense?

This is literally the first bottle I ever spent $100 on. I sat on it for almost 10 years. What better time to drink it than during the Apocalypse?

February 24, 2018 - This needs some air to unfurl. Good acidity holds this together nicely, medium body. Savoury and well integrated, in a perfect spot.

September 2, 2015 - Quite dark and impenetrable at first but began to open up after an hour or two in the decanter. Flavour profile is quite dark at first, eventually opening up to expose an underlying layout of round, silky red fruit. Well structured with good balance, just as one would expect from Biondi-Santi in a top vintage. Your patience will be rewarded with this wine. Drink now to 2030.

April 21, 2012 - Tuscan wine gathering at Bluegrass Restaurant - Showing my dedication to Baltimore winos (Bluegrass restaurant, Baltimore): Fresh round red fruits, anise, petrol, scorched earth and cola. Bright acidity, youthful fruit expression and nicely integrated tannins. Quite fresh and bright. I was expecting a tannic monster with shy dry cherry fruits but instead I got a really nice wine with delicate Burgundian fruit expression.
