September 2, 2013 - Nice, milder super-Tuscan (70% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot). Took this long to age to where it was as good as it is. Think we paid $17 or so for it, that is neither over priced or a good bargain. Again a tad on the light side, would not stand up to red sauce, but a GREAT sipper for a red with lots of wood and fruit depth.

April 24, 2012 - Dark purplish red in color. Nose is pleasant enough, if not overly expressive...cherries, earth. Palate of sour cherries, a little minty, and earthy, with plenty of acidity. Finish is medium in length and tannic but not overly so. Rustic, old world in style, lacking depth & complexity. For $15, it's fine with pizza on a Tuesday, but nothing special.
