June 7, 2022 - Wine Workshop: Heitz Martha's Vineyard (The Dutch): Funnily enough this was my least favorite of what is to be clear an excellent flight. It was also the group's favorite wine. To me this was more linear, high acid and high fruit and not quite as nuanced or interesting as the other wines. That being said, still good compared to wines in general.

Lovely aged Martha. All the elments you expect. Cola, black currant, black berries. Vitalizing acidity. At his Peak. Close to Martha 74 and 75. 96

November 3, 2019 - Faded but a nice stroll down memory lane. The fact that it was still intact reminds me of the longevity that some of the powerhouse Napa Cabs can possess.

August 6, 2015 - Mostly Napas and white Burgundies with Washington Winos (Ripple Restaurant in Washington D.C.): Very aromatic, with expected eucalyptus notes. But not monolithic in that sense. There was more going on aromatically. The palate was smooth and even rather silky in texture. And for a wine of nearly 45 years of age, flavorful and with structure. Medium plus body and medium plus finish. Goes to show that quality Napa Valley Cabernet ages gracefully. Thanks to Paul Marquardt for bringing this lovely wine.
