  June 10, 2023 - Another fantastic bottle of this. With a long adouze, and time to open in glass the blackberry, bramble, cassis, mount veeder red iron soli, pencil and tobacco unfurl beautifully. Silky palate feel, with just a bick of firm black tannin. More freshness than prior bottles, but still not quite at the level of the 79.

  November 7, 2020 - This was just a touch behind the first bottle, but still showing the freshness and depth of the prior bottle.
  
  Nose: loaded with pencil, blackberry, cherry, red soil notes and olive. Palate: dark fruit, cedar, pencil, capsicum, chestnut and red earthy notes. Finish: Detailed and resonant.

  October 7, 2020 - Wonderful nose of pencil, pencil, pencil! Still with rich, intriguing black fruit, this is not tired. A bit more complexity would bump the score much higher, but this is so obviously enjoyable nonetheless.

  October 1, 2020 - Nose: capsicum, cedar, pencil, dark earth and sappy cherry. Palate: moderate acid driven body. Dark cassis, morello cherry, capsicum, cracked pepper and red soil notes. Leather and cedar round out the palate.
  
  Rustic and WONDERFUL old Napa cabernet from Mt. Veeder. Hard to believe this was only the third vintage here.
