June 13, 2014 - Bought at auction. Consumed over 5 hours. Fill level bottom neck. Recorked in 1982. A medium garnet color with floral aromas. When first opened the acidity was dominant but with some air the sugar and dark fruit tastes opened and balanced the wine. Certainly not the best wine I've had, but the oldest I'll ever drink I think. All in all a decent wine from what I read was a poor vintage. It was fun to taste something made at the same time I was.
