April 29, 2023 - CdT tasting at Phenol. Line-up of Beaune Grèves. Very fun. Wines were quite distinct.
Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus, Bouchard Père et Fils 2016 - U3. Young. U4 potential. Light and layered, but still muted. One of JF's favorites of night.
Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Joseph Drouhin 2015. U2. Too young, but has potential of '09. Took a while to open.
Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus, Bouchard Père et Fils 2012. P3. Heavier than '16 but still a nice, layered wine.
Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Joseph Drouhin 2012. Strong Y3. Great nose. Less finish.
Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Joseph Drouhin 2009. G3/R4. Would not have picked as CdB in blind tasting.
Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Joseph Drouhin 2006. G3. Stemmy/cork on nose, which some really disliked. I would drink this wine anytime.
Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Domaine de Montille 2005. R3. More subtle than expected. Beautiful structure, but everything tuned down. Maybe bc last wine of night? -

October 23, 2022 - Förvånansvärt mörkt röd och inte helt klar. Underbara tertiära aromer som nästan för tankarna åt syrah. Fin struktur med medel tanniner, och mest framträdande frukt är körsbär. Mycket bra.
