April 27, 2022 - Bright mid to deep yellow. Aromas of minerals, chalk dust, desiccated almond and pressed yellow flowers with a twist of spice.
The entry shows a fabulous line of edgy, almost strident acidity with a lemon infusion. Medium-bodied, lovely concentration and flow gives a lissom mid-palate fleshed out with apricot skin, peach flesh, lemon verbena and lemon tart with an undertow of almonds paste and oatmeal.
However, the texture is almost fibrous, giving a chewy, chalky back-palate suggesting higher extract (firmer pressing?). As the wine opens, more tropical notes balance the crunchy edge of the wine whilst the finish is lemon-tinged and lingering. Some more almond and oatmeal

October 17, 2020 - Medium+ lemon yellow. Reticent nose with mineral, lemon and apple. Some evolution noted and also on the palate, which opens with a fine, fresh, almost chalky acidity. A fleshy texture with a juicy broad mid-palate shows sweet white peach, pineapple slices, ripe lemon yet tarter green apple, tart tatin and then apple blossom. The wine seems elegant, perhaps a little evolved, with good length. The sweetness of the fruit does tame the acidity, and there is a hint of honey on the aftertaste. A good wine yet not overly stimulating.

April 12, 2017 - (Tasted blind) Mid gold. Restrained nose with damp chalk in a Tupperware tub, mineral and river stones.
Some development on the palate with lots of ripe stone fruits giving fatness to the mid-palate cut through with a blade of vibrant acidity. As the wine opens, it becomes fresher and more vigorous; an elegant wine, complex with long farewell.
Chevenottes often has that bit more blade of acidity, and in unripe vintages is a little more sappy and stony.

March 24, 2016 - Aroma of green melons and vanilla on the nose. High acidity bursting with citrus and stone fruits, infused with a layer of minerals and slate. Lacking a bit of mid weight. But the lingering mineral finish makes up for it.

April 27, 2015 - Light to mid yellow.
Intense aromas of lemon meringue, white and yellow peach alongside sea spray, tidal pool and orchard fruit.
Soft yet fresh acidity on entry, quite delicate with a pear flesh, creme fraiche note alongside a saline edge giving a tang to the mid-palate. Some creamy oak evident, quite a broad wine, then the flavour of lemon cheesecake, curd and lemon meringue come through alongside finely crushed oat bran. Quite a lissom wine that is rich and juicy but not that deep nor that long. The lemon gives a tang or sharpness to the mid-palate that I enjoyed and there is rock dust, a mineral edge that I find in many 2008's that I really enjoy, though to some this may appear almost tart!
