  April 6, 2024 - Another Wine gathering at RJ’s; 4/4/2024-4/7/2024 (Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina): Expressive nose displaying rich concentrated black and red fruit, blackberry liqueur, maraschino cherries, beef blood, strong oak, cinnamon, clove, tree bark and mineral. Excellent concentration, rich concentrated black and red fruit, rich and silky, bright acidity, earth mineral, and a long ripe black and red fruit driven spice finish. The oak note is super strong.

  May 2, 2021 - Good and note others liked it more than me as I was expecting to be wowed. Instead, I found the flavor profile to be somewhat muted and a touch dilute, although still a nicely enjoyable wine. The structure clearly took the lead over the fruit. Just wish the fruit dial could be turned up a few notches.

  November 11, 2019 - Opened 11 November 2019. Thin nose at initial opening. Very tannic for a 2007 at first taste but became subdued by 1 hour. Not much depth. Pleasant enough but not dense or complex. Ate with Spanish ham which was sufficiently paired but nothing dazzling. Maybe a mediocre bottle but much ado about nothing with this one.
