May 25, 2011 - As good as the previous bottle. Went great with mussels in a Pernod sauce. Hints of pepper and spice. Round and delicious & at $18 a bottle a fantastic bargain.

May 16, 2010 - Thanks to Eric Asimov's article on the wines of the Jura late last year I learned of these wines and I like them a lot. Village level juice, but oh so good. Last night's bottle was terrific. Drank with a slight chill it was the perfect compliment to hot dogs, burgers fries and onion rings. Pure on the palate with a bit of pepper and strawberry and a yummy finish.

April 15, 2010 - drinking beautifully right now. builds in intensity, but never is weighty - this is a gulp-able wine, in fact. a mix of bright red and dark fruit, good acidity, a bit of a natural streak runs underneath but there is good energy and it lifts, not dulls the wine. something herbal on the finish adds complexity.

January 12, 2010 - Wow, can't say I have ever had anything like this to be able to actually have a benchmark to score it, thus, no score!

Color: Bordering on Rose, light ruby core to salmon/copper outer bands

Nose & Palate: Smells of Bourgogne rouge, or red burgundy, village level stuff. Earthy, pepper, some subtle anise spice. On the palate silky strawberry mingles with some vegetal green bell pepper and cracked black pepper. Excellent, acute acidity provides great focus on the finish. Drink now.

October 5, 2009 - Cloudy, almost pink in color. Red berries, pepper, rubber, and stems on the nose. Light in the mouth with good acidity, minerality and fine, light tannins. Very primary and a little hollow in the middle. Better with out food? Wierd. I think I opened this at least five years to early, though the rubber aroma worries me.
