May 14, 2020 - Oväntat pigg. Gränsar till att vara obalanserad. Absolut inte på dekis.

December 8, 2018 - Pungent..... didnt enjoy this.... acid, finish is hardly present. Corked.

    Smells like public toilet

May 19, 2015 - Open and poured into a decanter. Looked young and fresh, but then the smell hits you and you instantly notice it was corked. Whilst those I was drinking with found it nice, I am quite sensitive to TCA and unfortunately took away from the fruit/leather that you knew was underneath.

I have had 3 bottles, one was fantastic, but sadly the other 2 not that great. Still, a wonderful chance to experience wine from a legendary vintage and worth a shot.

January 10, 2015 - Much better than my last bottle. Smooth, elegant and complex. Drank with friends as part of a larger wine tasting event and this was a firm favourite. A very mature bordeaux with lots of tobacco notes and woody/smoky flavour. A fantastic QPR.

March 24, 2014 - Please don't automatically view my 85 as meaning this was bad, as I use the scale properly, and therefore classify this wine as being GOOD.

I drank straight from the bottle and was impressed by the strong black fruits on the nose. The wine shows clear bricking and showed lots of browns/oranges but still had a red core. To taste, the fruit had completely gone initially, and you were left with a rather thin tasting wine that did start to fill out with time and some food. Some red fruits started to come through towards the end. Obviously this was immensely smooth as the tannins are long gone.

Ultimately, this was an 82 bordeaux bought for c45 USD, so you are buying for the history, but I have to say I was somewhat disappointed and suspect that is simply because cru bourgeois probably wasn't meant to last a full 32 years and this is on its way down from its peak.

    2 bottles remain though...
