March 27, 2024 - Fantastic bottle. Mature and just flying over the palate. Complex nose of tea, herbs, modena balsamic vinegar (not negative), orange peel and pine tree. Full bodied but very elegant on the palate. Long and fresh finish.

August 12, 2019 - Dinner with the wine group (Hillside Supper Club): Medium-deep ruby; nose has medium-plus intensity, spice, rich red fruit, density to the aromas; palate is light bodied, red fruit, not nearly as much complexity as the nose, low alcohol, a bit overly acidic; finish is short-medium. The nose is excellent, the palate less so. 90-91

June 30, 2018 - Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Small glass, brief note. Maturing red fruit with sweet and savory spice and good floral hints. Everything you want in Romanée St. Vivant is here, just slightly lacking Grand Cru depth and density.

April 27, 2016 - Slow oxed for 6 hours. This is very good. Nose had spice, black fruit, red fruit and flowers. Palate had good structure and medium intensity. This wine will age beautifully. Give it 5 years.
