December 31, 2014 - Started off very inky on nose, huge nose, dark and inky with limited acidity, then much smoother. After an hour, getting candied cherries in palate. On Day 2, the nose was as inky and stinky (in a good way) as ever, but palate was a bit hard to read…perhaps some tar and a touch of really dark fruit. I think its time to drink has arrived.

April 9, 2012 - Popped and poured. VA on first opening, dissipates with time. Some barnyard up front, with delicious aromas of berry fruit and earth underneath. Flavors of cherry with a strong mineral spine. Vibrant cherry raspberry finish. Generous heapings of fruit flavors and acid make for a taut, balanced, and somewhat explosive wine. Still young and fresh, showing no signs of decline. Why oh why didn't I buy more?

October 15, 2011 - Bought 3 years ago and kept in cellar.
Light and precise with well integrated smooth tannins. Could even be kept a bit longer.
Once aged it is definitely worth more than the price tag.

July 15, 2010 - Tannins are still a bit rough and stand out a bit on the backend... not sure if it will integrate or not, but it really doesn't take away from the wine. Not elegant like some of the Baudry wines, not monstrous like some of the Coulaine wines... just classic, rustic cab franc... if someone asked me what a Loire Valley Cab Franc tastes like, this is what I would tell them to try.

February 23, 2010 - The cork was wet, so we feared the wine had gone bad, but after sitting for a few minutes it smelled smooth and minerally with some cherry notes. Couldn't taste any oak -- very "organic" production quality, and in the mouth it felt a lot like a gamay for a Cab franc.
