December 4, 2022 - I had my last bottle of this 11 years ago and it has massively benefited from the passing years. This was a complete joy to drink, with everything in balance. Lots of spicy bramble fruit and gentle acidity. The tannins are now way in the background but it just makes it supremely relaxing to drink. A delight. But probably not for much longer….?

September 5, 2020 - The cork crumbled but, no fears, the wine is great. Wonderful aromas of red cherry and a lovely perfume of violet, floral aromas that burst from the glass. That’s also some sweet vanilla notes. The palate has lots of sweet red cherry and raspberry fruit, tons of acidity that makes the mouth water on the mid palate and then a long finish of spice, ground pepper and creamy note too. Complex and just a wonderful wine which I defy anyone to dislike.

July 9, 2019 - Medium red. Buttery oak and tired red fruit nose. Better flavours then nose, but the fruit has fallen away and left the oak dominant. Light tannic finish.

December 1, 2018 - Entertaining so didn't really have the chance to make notes. Cork was in poor condition, fell apart around the corkscrew. Initial thoughts having just decanted was that the wine was just on the edge with initial signs of oxidation. However, with time in the decanter that became much less apparent and the wine seemed more rounded, soft and attractive. If you've had these since new and well stored, they are probably ok for a couple more years.

January 10, 2017 - Cork did a fine job. Only 30% soaked. Bricking. Lots of developed aromas - leather, earth, chocolate. Still has some dark fruits too. Palate is medium bodied and fully resolved. A lovely old Barossa shiraz.
