July 19, 2022 - Sommelier Scholarship Fund Tasting (Popina - Brooklyn NY): Walk around tasting. Certainly still kicking, nicely vibrant and while the vintage under-ripeness detracts from the depth, this is still fun and bright enough. Certainly better a few years ago. Drink up.

April 14, 2020 - Wow, after all these years.... Deep golden yellow. still linear, but with a rich mouth feel. The fruit has morphed into that indescribable place beyond mere grapes and yeast. This is much better than another bottle I’ve had from the same vintage, so this keeps the hope alive. No ox!

September 30, 2011 - 2004 Vintage Burgundy Tasting and Oxidation Check (Part 1) (BLT Fish, New York City): Dark complexion and showing early but unmistakable pox. Very disappointing - cf. my note from a sound bottle just two months ago.

July 4, 2011 - Electric medium yellow. High-voltage aromas of stone, soil, and superconcentrated fruit - quintessence of Puligny. Almost painfully intense in the mouth, too, with ripe fruit and full texture, but the powerful acidity cuts through it all to a long, stony and grapefruity finish. PS - as the wine takes on air, it fills out (but it ain't fat and creamy, bud) and the finish picks up a quality of rich powdered stone that penetrates the sinuses. Really.
