  December 26, 2012 - Bottle froze and cork popped open but the wine still drank wonderfully -- even better than the previous, unfrozen bottling -- four days later (unlike any other of the more than half a dozen wines in the same predicament)! 89-90

  November 27, 2012 - The fruit seems to be drying out and it's slightly overpowered by the alcohol. Still very nice though.

  March 19, 2012 - Baby powder gold appearance. High-toned, aromatic Gewurztraminer nose. Bone dry, with crisp flavors of lychees, peaches, citrus, dried roses, and a persistent petrol and mineral finish.

  November 21, 2011 - Much better than 5 months ago (it has been stored at room temperature), showing less acidity and more depth. Excellent nose of barnyard, smoke, and rubber. Same notes on the palate, accompanied by flavors of citrus, which transform into grapefruit rind on the finish. The grapefruit notes completely disappeared when the wine was paired with leek croquettes, so if you don't like bitter flavors then have this Gewurtz with something (deep-)fried. Will try to hold on to the remaining bottle for another year. 88-89
