  May 5, 2010 - Nose is somewhat reticent, but some digging reveals toffee and green apple notes. At first the palate was a bit heavy, but after some air there is more of the green apple, some butter, and a bit of vanilla/oakiness. Finish still has decent acidity, and is longer than I would have expected. This is a pleasant wine that is drinking well now and is pretty well balanced. It seemed a bit flabby at first, so I gave it some more time in the fridge--it drinks better on the cool side. A little astringency at the back of the mouth overwhelms the fruit in the end.

  July 7, 2007 - Dennis' summer tasting: Same bright yellow color. The nose is very shy, just hinting of cool yellow berries and some butter. The taste very delineated with lots of acid, but also a pleasing roundness, lots of minerals, sweet wood, toast. Very nice, but nose is too dull.
