October 26, 2009 - Ruby red in color with a tint of orange. Sweet spices on the nose with gobs of strawberry and a hint of orange peel. Velvety on the palate with flavors of plumb and strawberry with a smooth medium finish. A very pleasing Chianti at a very pleasing price point.

October 26, 2009 - Listed on wine enthusiasts top values for 2009. The wine has a nice pure ruby color that doesn't give anything away on the edges. Found it to be a little tight on the nose but did pick up hints of black fruit and spice. After decanting the wine for a bit the spice notes translated to palate with a nice tart feeling on the mid palate. Nice smooth wine from beginning to end makes this a good wine for a great deal.
