September 22, 2022 - Grapes for Great Causes: Older SQN and SE Flight ‘06-‘09 (Les Nomades Chciago): Darker color, sharper finish, good palate feel, lots of alcohol on the finish. Really a good finish to the flight of whites. My #3 Grp#1.

May 1, 2022 - Served 1 hour after opening. Fragrant and buttery, and that's the chardonnay. A little metallic, ripe and alcoholic with some vanilla. It's too bad we didn't give the wine enough time.

50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Smaak / Afdronk: 17 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 91/100
Color: Medium golden yellow Aroma / bouquet: Restrained, certainly for SQN a remarkably limited expressiveness. And in that respect, this wine makes a very different impression than when I tasted it at Christmas 2017. Taste / Aftertaste: Clearly more pronounced in the mouth. More expressive, more complexity. Details of refined wood, wax, caramel. Extremely long finish. Generously alcoholic with 16.5%. General / potential: Impressive, but much more impressive in the mouth than in the nose. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Taste / Finish: 17 + General / potential: 8 = 91/100 -

September 4, 2019 - Served 50 minutes after opening. Really ripe and big, very hot on both the palate and the nose. Some 1 hour and 40 minutes after opening the nose was absolutely beautiful, and almost like candied pineapple.

May 15, 2018 - Chardonnay, Roussanne and Viognier. 15.7% alcohol had me leary that this could be any good but I was pleasantly surprised by the softness and balance here. It shows gentle and fairly mature flavors of tropical fruits, lime, coconuts and clove spice. The finish is most impressive with a very fine tip of the tongue complexity. The alcohol is in-check and not disturbing. Beats the hell out of me how he did it.
