March 31, 2022 - Still fabulous. I wish their new wines were as good as these old ones. This is a true "burgundy style" chardonnay.

September 11, 2021 - Deep yellow-gold in color. Soaring notes of honeysuckle, melted butter, orange citrus oils and ripe peaches. Oh well, well, what do we have on the rich, viscous palate, honey poached ripe orchard fruits, more buttered popcorn, reasonable acidity to keep it from being cloying and a long, long finish. This is interesting and has aged stupendously well. To my Burg palate it was all a bit too much and it came across like a Batard on steroids with everything amped up, but one cant deny the appeal and ageability of the wine.

January 28, 2017 - Gift of 2002 and 2003 Newtons given to me by a relative on release. Medium gold in color. Deep and resonant aromas of lemon curd, buttered popcorn and hint of pineapple and melon. Very viscous on the palate with waves of sweet citrus marmalade, buttered pears, touch of caramel, medium (-) acidity and a long oily finish. I drink only white burgundy and I must say this is shockingly good especially considering its age.

August 7, 2016 - Drinking beautifully right now; lovely, rich yet smooth, showing age with secondary notes and no malolactic overtones. Terrific.
