August 11, 2015 - About as good as a premier Chablis can be - classic chalky minerality - wonderful wine

March 4, 2014 - Tuesday Wine Night - Free Style (Extra Space): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of fresh flinty minerality.
On the palate, high crisp acidity, medium body, long finish. Flavours of tons of flinty minerality, lemons combined with a bit of oak influence, and a hint of creaminess, all coming together to give quite a rounded mouth-feel. Very fresh and elegant.
    From the producer's website:
"The grapes come from one of the oldest vineyards, planted in 1955 by Bernard Defaix and exceptionally well exposed to the sun. This “cuvée” is partially fermented in oak barrels. Half of the wine is fermented in barrels and remains for 12 months on fine lees with regular "batonnage". After tasting, this wine aged in barrels is blended with the same“cuvée” that has been aged in stainless steel tanks. The final blend is bottled 18 months after the harvest."
Now I know why there is oak influence and a touch of creaminess.

April 6, 2013 - Similar to our last note. Fresh aromas of citrus, hay, and crushed sea shell. Textured, rich palate of meyer lemon custard, with finishing saline, granite, tart citrus, and dried herbs. A nice combination of body and lifting lime acidity. Nicely done. R&M90

February 24, 2013 - Richer than the last bottle, nice balance and acidity as you would expect for a Chablis. Quite good.

May 3, 2012 - The aromatics are distinctly chablis, with gorgeous meyer lemon and crushed sea shell as well as undertones of orchard fruit and lavender. The palate opens with rich layers of ripe lemon, complicate by almond and dried green herbs. A welcome saline mineral spine arises on the mid-palate, later continuing onto a long and invigorating finish of tart lemon/lime citrus and white flowers. This has an excellent mouthfeel, boasting both rich lemon fruit and balancing acidity. Overall this a fantastic chablis with both power and finesse. R&M 91
