Community Tasting Notes 2

October 6, 2013 - Purchased from the Vineyard in 1999 and properly stored at 55 degrees since then. Opened with a varied tapas-plate meal.
Initial bouquet closed, just a hint of chocolate. After 20 minutes, tons of dark fruit emerges. Blackberries, boysenberries, cherries, with hints of caramel and chocolate. Amazing depth. Big, nose-friendly bouquet of fresh fruit. Depth and layers.
A voluptuous spice emerges around 1h15 minutes after opening. A lovely, mouthwatering wine.

April 21, 2007 - Seemed on the tight side. Not as expressive as the 96's we had at the same event. Would recommend a heay decant as none was done to these two bottles. Or hole maybe for a few more years and see if they awaken some and there is still tannic structure to hold.
