March 11, 2014 - Tuesday Night Double Blind <$30 (Bin 75): Past peak; all soy and prunes; surprisingly I called '05 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.

January 8, 2010 - Rich and ripe Montepulciano wine (100 percent) from the Colonella district that was aged for 24 months in French barriques. Intense garnet-red in color with a fragrant nose of red fruit, tobacco, spices and a fine hint of oak. Well-balanced and full-bodied palate with a great fruit concentration, good mouthfeel and nicely integrated tannins. Persistent finish. This is perfectly enjoyable now. To be decanted one hour prior to consumption.

Goede afdronk. Deze wijn is nu perfect drinkbaar. Best één uur voor consumptie te decanteren.
