Community Tasting Notes 4

December 5, 2014 - as RANCHO TALAHALUSI said - beautiful wine- his notes match my experience.
Bought couple bottle at auction and wish I had more now. Will write more detail notes with second bottle.

May 3, 2014 - Cork in great shape with no leakage. Color of wine still bright, clarity good, and bouquet lively, considering the age of this pinot and the "community" opinion it would only last through 2007. A lucky "find" in the cellar we had somehow forgotten to enter in CellarTracker. What a great surprise and beautiful wine. Lush and velvety mouth feel with a long finish. Fruit flavors of cherry abound (no pits, of course!). Cola throughout and hints of anise.

December 2, 2009 - Very nice even ten years on. Good, young color, dirty cherry nose, and Burgundian weight with good acidity and a cherry, tea and peat palate. Easily the wine of the evening at the tasting. This still has a bit of time left, but I'd finish in the next two years tops. Let it go out grand.

November 29, 2005 - Impressed, good structure and balance...very burgundian with notes of earth, cola, cherry. Mid-palate has a sweet and syrupy tone that was unique and not overpowering. Pleasantly suprising wine.
