July 19, 2016 - 60/20/20 Chenin/Chard/Cab Franc. Medium minus nose shows citrus, white flowers. Palate is a fruit forward style, more approachable than Champagne in that it's not bready or yeasty, dry in structure, good food wine but could be more expressive.

February 20, 2016 - A nice, new acquaintance from Saumur, a Cremant de Loire (rating actually 3.75). Interesting also the blend of grapes: 60% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay, and 20% Cabernet Franc. Very fresh, with aromas of green apples, minerals and honey. Vaguely a touch of red grapefruit in the end. Paired with a Toast Skagen. Very nice.

January 24, 2016 - Good stuff, good mousse, fresh, maybe a bit simple in the bouquet, but overall worth drinking as an aperitif; nice idea from my friend Job.

January 2, 2016 - Very clear sparkling wine. The wine offers zesty lemon notes, with green apple and flinty minerality. The yeasty character is not strong and comes up after some time, especially on the palate. In the mouth it is dry with pronounced acidity and medium body. Bubbles are not aggressive, though they calm down a bit too fast. The lemony acidity lingers for quite some time in the aftertaste.
A fresh sparkler better enjoyed with some food, but very pleasant in its crystalline precision.

(NV Domaine Langlois-Château Crémant de Loire Brut) Very light yellow color with small bubbles; tart apple, straw nose; tasty, tart apple, mineral, straw palate; short-medium finish (60% Chenin Blanc, 30% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Cabernet Franc; 18 mos. en tirage, 18 mos. in bottle)

(NV Langlois-Chateau Crémant de Loire Brut) Current release. A pale straw-coloured hue here, and a moderate size of bead, presented as a few sparse streams of bubbles. Rather yeasty on the nose, with lemony freshness, countered by a little hint of oiled wood and praline. Fresh and firm, lemony in style on the palate, with orange peel and nuts. There is a tingling undercurrent from the mousse, and a soft, creamy underbelly. This is delicious.

(NV Langlois-Chateau Crémant de Loire Brut) Current release, tasted at the domaine. Quite a pale hue. The nose has plenty of very clean fruit, with a somewhat steely edge. It is floral, fresh and delightfully acidic. It is uncomplicated but nevertheless very honest, nicely composed and refreshing. Overall, a good and well defined character that is very true to its origins.
