October 23, 2023 - Peach Farm. Decanted at the beginning of the meal. Still quite tannic. Not as forthcoming as I expected, and I'll see if more time (or a longer decant) makes it more expressive.

October 1, 2023 - Sadly my last bottle and it was not good at all! The palate was green and harsh, probably some TCA here, tested the day after, but no change.

October 29, 2022 - A short decant to blow off some funkiness on the nose, mostly V/A. Personally I think this is a light bodied wine, the vintage is elegant, but perhaps lacking the depth of 04 and 06. The tannins have melted down to a pleasant level, still they held up to the food. The acidity is brisk, backing up the red fruits found in the wine. It's peaking right now and is probably the best 05 I've drank!

September 2, 2022 - In a lovely spot right now. Quite good with a couple hours of air. Would recommend having the 05s before the 04s or 06s.

April 7, 2022 - Piece Pizza and Barolo (Eric&Megan's, Chicago IL): This saw about 2-3 hours of decanting. From the first pour, this was an all encompassing experience as it permeates in the glass with Rose petals, red cherries, strawberries, fresh picked berries, sour red fruits, tobacco, licorice, roasted herbs, and spice notes. The Medium/Full bodied feel is demure and balanced while providing an extremely long finish. There is still some youth to the structure with tart, high acidity and silky, high tannins. This is right in that spot where it will provide an immense amount of enjoyment. There is no rush to open a bottle if one is holding onto them, but there is also plenty of reason to open one up.
