August 25, 2018 - Outstanding. Gained heft and length 2 hours in.

July 1, 2018 - my first official perfect red, whatever that really means.

this was given almost an hour decant. the cork and bottle were in excellent shape. i had had it upright for 3-4 days so the sediment had settled quite nicely.

the nose was a mix of wet animal muskiness and loam. the palate was complex and rich and had a gravelly finish.

October 4, 2016 - Hermitage La Chapelle & Grange (10 Greek Street, London): Iron and a little blood on the nose. Sweet-fruited on the attack. Still showing well albeit not in the first flush of youth. (*)**1/2

June 13, 2016 - Medium ruby. Medium + nose that evolves from a sweet, dried fruit, spice, smoky, coffee. Palate full, rounded, perfectly evoluted, oxidative touch but simply perfect. Wine of the night.

December 16, 2014 - This was garnet coloured but very murky. A pop & pour, it was a little reticent upon opening but after 30 minutes really came out of it's shell. The nose was a melange of dark fruits, meats, earth, and funk. Medium weight and savoury flavours of dried fruits, plums and leather, nuts and salted caramel. Held up very well over the course of a few hours.
