April 12, 2013 - Very good!! A dry "tabaccoay" syrah. a lot of sediment,so use the venturi and screen as well. Enjoy really soon!

May 1, 2011 - One look as you tilt the Riedel toward the light tells you this is no shrinking violet. Deep purple, almost black, with legs that clutch the glass and form elaborate kirchenfenster. Dark fruits and herbs in the nose, with an intriguing floral component. Lush black raspberries and sweet currants with some aged tobacco leaf and whiffs of smoke. The oak gets a bit out of hand at times, but there's a wonderful hint of lavender and thyme that drifts in and out that mingles nicely with the oak. Very satisfying. Would be interesting to see what happens with this in a couple of years. Sips nicely but built for tri-tip and ribs.
