June 4, 2012 - Overcooled and distanced wine at first. There is a lot going on in the nose though after some breathing-time. Dense and compact aromas of primary Riesling-fruit, herbs and fine notes of wood. On the palate the wine is powerful, yet staight-lined and focussed. The wine is carried by a rounded, ever-present acidity. Its enormous minerality-structure completes the wine's heavyset appearance. Good stuff!
