  January 3, 2018 - Light cherry / brick with a touch of amber at rim. Glorious nose of sour berry fruit and nicely integrated oak. The fruit is mixed with robust leather and is just a tad short. Perfectly mature yet drink up. A beautiful old Rioja. (91)

  July 12, 2015 - This needed some air to come around, but not much. Everything I love in Heredia wines - old sweaty leather, tobacco, and dark fruits mixed together in a glass of happiness. Not as powerful as some of the epic vintages but still very much worth the experience.
